How does P+R work at the Olympisch Stadion car park?

To be able to use the special P+R rate, you have to follow these steps:

Enter the Olympisch Stadion car park using the P+R entrance. You will be issued a P+R parking ticket.
Use your personal OV chip card.
Travel to Amsterdam city centre by public transport.
Travel back to the Olympisch Stadion car park from the city centre by public transport. Please note: if you change buses/trams outside the city centre zone, the P+R discount no longer applies.
Insert your parking ticket in the payment terminal, scan your OV chip card and pay the reduced parking rate.
Exit the car park.

I entered the car park via the normal entrance, but I would like to make use of the P+R rate. Is that possible?

No, you cannot make use of the special rate. Are you still at the car park? Pay for your parking at the payment terminal and exit the car park. Then enter the car park via the P+R entrance. Offsetting the regural parking fee afterwards is not possible.

I used public transport (OV) in Amsterdam, but I am being charged the regular parking rate. What do I do now?

You have to stay in the right zone to be eligible for the reduced rate. If you get on or transfer to a bus/tram outside the city centre zone, the P+R discount is no longer valid. Offsetting the regural parking fee afterwards is not possible.

I want to stay at the P+R for longer than the maximum period. What do I do now?

After the first 96 hours, the regular parking rate applies.
