After the successful launch of Eco Parking Lijnbaan car park in Rotterdam, Eco Parking is now also introduced in the Markthal car park. Markthal car park thus becomes the second Eco Parking location in the Netherlands. Since the launch of Eco Parking we considered that more than 20% of the total uses of customers a fuel economy A or electric vehicle drives.
Incentive for a cleaner city
Visitors of the Markthal car park with a fuel economy A or 100% electric car receiving a special Eco Parking ticket at the entrance of the car park. This entitles € 0.20 discount per hour on the parking rate. A sustainable parking solution as Eco parking combines two important environmental aspects:
- It promotes environmentally-friendly driving and
- It reduces CO2 emission.
An eco-friendly parking solution
Interparking’s mission is ‘Making the world move better’, which forms the basis of eco-friendly parking solutions such as Eco Parking. Eco Parking helps people get around in a more environmentally-friendly way. Interparking is the first car park operator in the Netherlands and Europe to introduce a parking reduction scheme based on the fuel economy rating. It is our plan to introduce Eco Parking at other Interparking locations in Europe.
