Rotterdam November 27, 2015 - The Markthal car park underneath the famous 'Markthal' in Rotterdam has been awarded the gold edition of the European Standard Parking Award: ESPA Gold Award. This Award is only for parking facilities with exceptional high quality.  Interparking received this award today from Peter Martens, vice president and board member of Vexpan.

The ESPA Gold Award, by the European Parking Association (EPA), is created to distinguish excellence of parkings by the standard, which every parking should meet. The standard ESPA Award was already allocated to the Markthal car park during the opening October 2014. Interparking received te ESPA Gold Award especially for his customer-friendly usability.

Top quality as standard
"Every day we focus on realizing customer-friendly parking facilities. We see this award as a crown on our hard work," says Johan Tol, director at Interparking Netherlands . He is convinced that car parks in major cities such as the Markthal in the future no longer just can be been seen as a showpiece but just be seen as a standard. "This requires parking operators to develop their parking facilities with high standards and contribute to improve the mobility chain. The Markthal car park underneath the 'Markthal' is a good example, "says Johan Tol.
