Only half a year to go until the parking Markthal will welcome its first visitors. All employees at Interparking are busy with taking the final preparations.

The Markthal will be equipped with the latest technologies and will therefore be an innovative and sustainable parking. The parking will be equipped with parking equipment of Skidata, this brings several advantages such as that visitors can easily reserve a parking space online. For a faster traffic flow, visitors can enter the parking with a numberplate recognizing system and then easily find their parking space by a parking guidance system. Interparking has been investing in this technology for years and is already used in several car parks in Europe. In cooperation with RentAlite this car park will be decorated with 1654 Premium Power LED V fixtures. This LED lighting has a spread angle of 240 degrees instead of the standard 160 degrees. This provides a larger surface of the lighting in the garage. The energy savings that will occur by placing the LED lighting in the garage is a saving of 50 percent!

The parking is located right beneath Market Hall, in the vicinity of the Koopgoot and the Hoogstraat. The more than 1,100 parking spaces in the garage will be equipped with luxurious amenities such as toilets, spacious elevators and escalators that take you from the basement directly to the market floor. Parking Markthal, will be the largest and most important parking in the city center of Rotterdam. Residents, visitors of the Market Hall, the library, the outdoor market or downtown, everyone is welcome soon!
